Renewing a Health Insurance Card

Every person must hold a personal Health insurance card which allows you to benefit for medical attention including dental and specialization services. These cards are subjected to an expiration date depending on the time of residence in Quebec or, in the case of permanent residents, it could last from a year (for first cards granted) and then from 4 to 8 years. There are some exceptions when a card may not be necessary, like in the case of an emergency, but in general you will have to be in possession of a valid Health insurance card.
